tumbling jewels finished.

I finished up my quilt last night!  It came together really easily and with straight line quilting was pretty quick! It's not very big, just right for a picnic size, I'll probably use it at the park or in the hammock. 100_3118[1] I used a variegated thread in jewel tones, which was perfect! For the back, I just echoed the front with very large 12" triangles and a nice wine-ish color from my stash. 100_3128[1]
I decided the name of this quilt is "Tumbling Jewels" because of the triangles and the jewel toned fabric.

Triangles are so effective in quilts aren't they? Lovely the richness of your colour choices.
