Count me in! Loved the one like this last year but my partner sent me simply horrid pastel florals, SO not ME! It was a challenge.

Ooops! Did I say that? I guess I forgot that YOU, Ms. Colorado Lady, were my partner!!

Marianne said...

This sounds like too much fun to pass up! Can the 2 yards be all one fabric?

Coloradolady said...

Marianne, yes, it can be all one fabric, or a combination of fabrics..your choice!!

However I would like to take it a step further, I would like to challenge Bonnie Hunter and her friend Tonya, I believe, who were the origanators of that Fungly Challenge to do this...haha. Wonder if they will, come on girls, join in!

Mez said...

A quick look through my stash unearthed a few uglies. They don't exactly go together; I'd feel mean passing them on to somebody else!
But curiosity has me wanting to do it, so count me in too.

OOH! I was going to ignore this one... Could I possibly have "UGLY" fabric in my stash?... OH YES!! So for 24 hours from reading I resisted... NOW I have caved in!! Will be sending off the details ASAP x I just cannot send ugly... I have to find a "nice" piece as well lol xx

I'd like to join, too. Never done this before, but it sounds like fun. Count me in.

Colima said...

I would like to join too. I have a couple of questions. Should we try and pick fabric the coordinates or just whatever? Also, I almost always prewash fabric before putting it in my stash, is that okay? Thanks, this seems like a fun challenge!

Lori said...

This sounds like fun but I'm from Canada. I am really new to quilting but would love to try this. Is the contest open International.

The Curious Quilter said...

A quick comment, seeing what COLIMA asked above...

Coordinated? Not required! Just get rid of some things you no longer want, or find ugly, or have way too much of! After all, it IS a challenge!

Prewashed is fine, as is not yet washed.

Last year I met Suzanne, The Colorado Lady as MY partner for a challenge like this. I made a friend. She took the horrid set of murky over-dyed batik, embroidered neon green, and harlequin shapes in odd colors, and turned it into a gorgeous quilt. I made placemats and a table runner with the florals and stripes she sent me. It was a blast.

Blind to purchase

Genie said...

Oh, Suzanne....Count me in. School is out in 32 days and then I can hit the quilting again. I am so tired when I get home at night I am not worth 10cents. Unfortunately or unfortunately I have a way of dumping my ugly fabrics, but I will do my best to pick out the ugliest of the ones I have. This sounds like such fun. Mine will have to be a large lap quilt because with my back problems I am unable to do full sized quilt anymore. Since I keep the one I make, it will not be a problem. Maybe this will get me to return to my Buttons for Baga blog which I have put on the back burner to my photography blog. Thanks for sponsoring this....I cannot wait to begin. Hugs, genie
